Kate Zisman grew up in East Vancouver among the raccoons, skunks, crows, and pigeons. And although she has not strayed far from her urban roots, she takes every opportunity to explore the wilds of British Columbia’s Sunshine Coast, Interior, and Caribou regions where she delights in chance moose and bear encounters. Kate received a BFA (visual art) and a BA (geography) from Simon Fraser University in 2007. These days she is kept busy making artwork for local bands, doing custom illustrations, painting when time allows, and chasing after her delightful daughter. |
