Live in the
loft of "Shakespeare & Company'... no, not the famous bookstore
where Hemingway hung out in Paris, but a used bookstore on Prince
Arthur Street. Alan had traded a very nice Martin D18 acoustic guitar
for an absolutely horrid Univox electric piano. But it came in handy
the next year, playing on the street with Cual and Bryan Highbloom
during the 1976 Summer Olympics. In order to play on the street in Old
Montreal, Alan climbed a lamppost to tap into the electricity.
