1972:
Dido played African-style conga and other hand drums. Born Cleopus
Mopedido Morris in Louisiana, he took on the name BABA MANDIDO MORRIS.
Later, he played with Gino Vannelli for several years, before moving to
BC's Saltspring Island, becoming active in BC's world music scene. Dido
died in 2009; a biography here.
