Roseland
Dance Conspiracy (etc) was a series of dances with
multiple bands, light show, and more, for $1. Money raised was given
away at open community meetings. While the actual Plastic Roseland
series of events lasted less than a year, for some of us, it was the
cornerstone of an era, uniting people, politics, culture, and idealism;
without realizing it, we were acting out Emma Goldman's quote "I want
freedom, the right to self-expression, everyboy's right to beautiful,
radiant things."
